The new SKIMS collection is going to the Winter 2022 Olympics, and fans can’t stop gushing about the famous faces in the campaign.
Kim Kardashian enlisted the help of snowboarding champion Chloe Kim, and Olympic bobsledder Aja Evans, amongst other sports stars, to be the faces of the new loungewear. This would be the second time Kim’s brand would collaborate with Team USA.
Skims first partnered with Team USA during the Tokyo Summer Olympics and recorded a huge success selling out within 24 hours. According to the USA Olympic and Paralympic Properties’ Senior VP Peter Zeytoonjian, “Team USA’s first collection with Skims was a huge hit with both athletes and fans, and we’re thrilled to bring another collection to life as we head to the Winter Games.”
He continued saying, “This new collection features warmer materials, bringing extra comfort to TEAM USA’s athletes as they compete in cooler temperatures.” In his closing speech, Peter expressed an interest in collaborating with Skims a third time.
Kim is also open to the possibility of a third collaboration, “I’m thrilled that SKIMS and Team USA are continuing to partner for these Winter Games. Our collection of lounge and sleepwear was designed with these inspiring women in mind, and I’m so proud that Olympic and Paralympic athletes will be wearing Skims again during their downtown.”
It’s fitting that Kim K chose these women as the faces for the capsule collection because they inspired the designs per Skims official website. There’s a “Meet The Athletes” section on the shopping site where consumers can read up on the Olympians who inspired the collection.
Kim further states via her brand that the collection is a celebratory set that shines the light on the Olympic female athletes. “A special collection celebrating the female athletes participating in the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

When the Cozy collection dropped, stars like LaLa Anthony, and Teyana Taylor modeled the pieces with their families. Now that SKIMS is going to the Olympics, Kim K chose gold medalists and champions as the faces of her capsule collection.
The stars, in return, don’t take the opportunity for granted as they show gratitude in their individual Instagram captions. “Thank you, @skims, for including me in the SKIMS for Team USA collection! Really excited to be a part of it!” Chloe Kim wrote on Thursday.
