President Trump Working On New Executive Order For Illegal Immigration Option
President Trump is working on a new executive order for an illegal immigration option, his adviser informs Fox News. What does Trump have up his sleeve now that the travel ban has been denied?
Stephen Miller, Trump’s policy adviser, has informed Fox News that President Donald Trump is considering all options to force a travel ban against illegal immigrants, who may pose as a threat against the American people.
On January 27, President Trump imposed a travel ban from seven hostile nations, but the federal appeals court denied the ban. When Trump attempted to have the appeal lifted, it remained unchanged.
Miller told Fox News that they are searching for ways to ensure the safety of our American citizens.
“We are contemplating new and additional actions … to ensure our immigration system is not vehicles for terrorists.”
Miller argued that the appeals court has overstepped their authority by going against the President’s plan to stop radical terrorists from easily entering the United States, but assures that Trump will find a way to prevail in his promise.
Although the executive orders were said to be poorly vetted and rushed, Miller argued that congressional experts drafted them. Further, he revealed that lawyers and top federal officials reviewed the executive orders prior to them being released.
“The three judges made a broad, over-reaching statement. The president’s powers here are beyond question. Something good is going to come out of this. The powers of the president will be confirmed.”
According to the Washington Post, President Trump will likely wait until the beginning of the week to take action. He also told reporters on Air Force One that sending the order to the Supreme Court is still a likely scenario. Although this isn’t moving as quick as Trump planned, he does feel confident that something will prevail.
“We will win that battle. The unfortunate part is that it takes time statutorily, but we will win that battle. We also have a lot of other options, including just filing a brand-new order.”
Some new revisions he plans to make with his attempt to have the executive order passed is to create additional security measures. Officials from the Justice Department and White House have concluded that with certain provisions, the order would likely be passed.
Fox News Insider reveals that 72 percent of the refugees admitted to our country after the travel ban was overruled were from the seven nations deemed most of a threat. Between February 3 and February 11, 1,049 refugees came from Syria, Iraqi, Somalia, Iran, and Sudan. During the time, no refugees came from Yemen or Libya.
According to Politifact, prior to Trump’s executive order, only 40 percent of refugees came from the seven countries outlined in his ban. Following the release of the statistics, Trump tweeted, “Our legal system is broken!”
Teen Vogue clarifies some additional quotes from Miller during his interview with Fox News.
“We have equal branches of government in this country. The judiciary is not supreme. A district judge in Seattle cannot force the President of the United States to change their laws and our constitution because of their own personal views. The bottom line is the president’s power in this area of represents the apex of executive authority.”
Currently, Trump has multiple options. He can take the order to the Supreme Court to be overturned, or he can create an alternative order with a different plan to prevent terrorists from entering our country. President Trump was very satisfied with Miller’s interview and later tweeted congratulations to him for his wonderful representation.
Congratulations Stephen Miller- on representing me this morning on the various Sunday morning shows. Great job!
