Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will be synonymous with each other for many reasons. The two stars came up together in WWE, being part of the company's "women's revolution" in the mid to late-2010s.

In recent years, however, the two are talked about not because of their great work together but for the animosity between them. An animosity that came to a head live on WWE television.

What happened between these former best friends? Lynch told her side of the story in November 2021. Now, Flair has revealed her thoughts on the matter.

"Two Alphas"

Flair joined WWE legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on the Broken Skull Sessions show on Friday. She believed the downfall of their relationship stems from their desire to be the absolute best.

"You have two women that want to be the best. Like, there's no other way to put it. I want to be the best, she wants to be the best. And, natural courses of life, she got married, had a baby. I met Manny (Andrade El Idolo) on the road, maybe we were each other's crushes at one point. But now it's she wants to be the best, I want to be the best. You have two alphas who don't see eye to eye," said Flair.

The Other Side

Lynch joined journalist Ariel Helwani for an interview with The MMA Hour, where she gave her thoughts on everything.

"We don't like each other, we used to. So I'm sure she would give you a different side, and I'll give you my side, is that my star was rising, we were best friends, and it all worked, when she was on top, and I was below, and then we could all see the way things were going in 2019," Lynch continued.

"Like people were really rallying behind me, and this turn would turn me into a different league, and she couldn't take that and has never been able to take it."

A month before Lynch's interview with Helwani, the two took part in a segment on SmackDown. Lynch was the SmackDown Women's Champion, but she was drafted to RAW in the WWE Draft. Flair was drafted to SmackDown as the RAW Women's Champion.

The two were supposed to exchange their titles on this October 2021 episode of SmackDown, but it went off the rails. Flair refused to hand over her title and eventually dropped it to the ring canvas. Lynch eventually got fed up and, after finally receiving her new title, threw the SmackDown belt at Flair's midsection.

According to PWInsider, the two got into a very heated argument backstage following the awkward exchange.

Can It Be Fixed?

Whether these two can be friends again remains to be seen. Lynch and Flair have both commented on the possibility. Lynch believes that if it's going to happen, it can't happen for a while.

"I think there would be a lot that would need to be talked about and a lot that would need to be discussed," Lynch told Bleacher Report. "Honestly, I don't think we can be [friends] in this business anymore. (...) I don't know that it can be repaired while we're both still wrestling."

Speaking to Helwani in a separate interview, Flair said she would like to be friends with Lynch again, and she was happy when Big Time Becks announced her pregnancy.

While these two don't seem to be on speaking terms, there does seem to be a chance they could reconcile their differences sometime down the line.
