Lindsey Vonn Leg Photo Shows Scars, Bruises From Skiing Injury

Lindsay Vonn’s leg looks “not very good.” And those are her words. The Olympic skier posted a photo of her leg to Instagram this weekend to show her fans the extent of her injuries.

And, in my words, it’s “not very good.”

Vonn’s leg is covered in bruises, cuts, bandages and scars. The 28-year-old world champion skier tore her anterior-cruciate and her medial-collateral knee ligaments. She also broke a bone in her lower leg and won’t be racing for the rest of the season.

Of course, it isn’t all bad news for Vonn. The skier, who joked that it would be a “long skirt summer,” underwent successful surgery last week. She is currently at home in Vail recovering with her family.

Vonn wrote on Facebook:

“Success! Surgery went very well yesterday and I’m recovering at home in Vail with my family. I want to sincerely thank everyone for their well wishes these last few days. It’s going to be a long and hard road back but I will be back!!”

Here’s Lindsey Vonn’s leg photo.

Vonn may be laid up for the next few weeks but she’s still training for her return to the mountain. Vonn posted this photo with the caption “When you fall you get back up.”

Are you a fan of Lindsey Vonn? What do you think of her leg photo? Do you think she’ll be able to return at top form?

Here’s the video of her crash at the World Championships in Austria from earlier this month.

Just because she's dating Tiger Woods, it's pretty pathetic of you to wish she would never ski again or anything else bad. I highly doubt everyone approves of all your life choices.Could it be that she's a very forgiving person which obviously you aren't.

Ron is a "WEINER". Have you ever heard of being jealous. You probably can't golf either.

I personally don't see it happening. At twenty-eight the rehab time is going to be longer and much more difficult plus the motivation may just not be there by the time she can really consider training for competition. The rehab that she will have to attempt first is to just get her walking again, then she has to work on strengthening and building for competiton and I don't think she will be ready for at least two years and who knows if the motivation will be there. I hope that she can compete again, but I am not sure it is worth risking another injury that may cripple you for life. I am also a fan of Tiger Woods and if they are friends, then great. What he has done in the past has no bearing on how he is with her – we should all butt out of that as it is her business and hers alone. Good luck in all your endeavors, Miss Vonn.
