The Kate Upton body paint photos are featured in the 2013 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. For this issue Kate Upton was almost nude, wearing only body paint in a photo shoot that recreated past Kate Upton bikini photo shoots.
The front cover shot is Kate Upton’s third appearance in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She was first chosen as rookie of the year in 2011, when Irina Shayk was on the cover. But this time Kate Upton is almost nude since body paint is the only thing covering her body.
According to Celebuzz, the sun shining down made Kate Upton’s body paint photo shoot a breeze, but the body paint artists were put to task:
“The hardest part by far was the necklace. I don’t even know how they did it. They were taking the strands and connecting it to the other side, taking off paint and putting it back on, layers and layers.”
Next to this body paint shoot, the closest to nude that Kate Upton has been is when she posed in a shoot for the August 2012 issue of Contributor Magazine that’s decidedly skimpy on the clothes. And by “skimpy” we mean Kate Upton pretty much ditched clothing all together, although the angles did not give away certain details.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, 2013 will be the second year that Upton has earned the coveted cover, with Sports Illustrated celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The model’s successful turn on the publication’s 2012 swimsuit issue helped skyrocket her popularity. The cover photo features real clothing and bikinis in the icy Antarctic summer, but it’s the Kate Upton body paint photos that will probably get people talking.
