Holly Petraeus: General’s Jilted Wife Is ‘Stunned’ And ‘Furious’ Over Affair
Holly Petraeus, the wife of General David Petraeus, is “stunned” and “furious” over the news of her husband’s affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.
In 2011, two months after becoming the nation’s top spy as director of the CIA, General David Petraeus began his affair with Broadwell, which culminated in his shocking resignation last week. His family is said to be devastated by the affair, especially the General’s jilted wife, Holly, who “is not exactly pleased right now,” according to Steve Boylan, a friend and former Petraeus spokesman who spoke to Petraeus over the weekend.
“Furious would be an understatement,” Boylan told ABC’s Good Morning America, also revealing that Petraeus ended the affair four months ago.
Boylan also added that Petraeus is well aware that he made a “colossal mistake,” and that his focus it repairing his relationships with his family.
The damage done to his family isn’t the only thing Petraeus has to worry about. If any evidence is turned up which suggests that the affair began before he left the military and entered his position with the CIA, the General could face military prosecution for adultery.
Boylan says that the affair began when Petraeus admitted it began – several months after his retirement from the Army in August 2011. However, some suspicion has centered on the fact that Petraeus’s selection of Broadwell as his biographer seemed strange from the get-go. “For him to allow the very first biography to be written about him, to be written by someone who had never written a book before, seemed very odd to me,” former Petraeus aide Peter Mansoor opined.
The truth will trickle out slowly over the coming weeks and months, but as of now, most are still trying to process the sudden shock of such a lauded General’s infidelity and resignation. “We received no advanced notice. It was like a lightning bolt,” said Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The affair ended four months ago- yet he admits to it & resigns just days before he is to testify before a Congressional Committee about what happened when our Ambassador & others were murdered in a terrorist attack. No military response, no FBI coming to their aid in the 7 plus hour seige…. If he thinks that resigning will mean he doesn't have to testify, then I say that this is orchestrated to protect higher-ups. Too fishy.

He is a colossal dumb ass. She is beyond stupid. People need to take a breath, open their eyes, look around and see the world as it is. Like, for example: I am married to someone else. I have 2 young children. This man is married to someone else. He is not married to me. I should probably not send threatening emails about someone to whom I am not married. I should probably think about the ramifications of my actions. You can't always help how you feel, but you damn sure can 100% of the time help what you do about it.

Instead of pointing a finger at what she looks like ,as if she is to blame for the torrid affair, look at the man who did it! He's 60 and old looking himself. I guess to some, a powerful old man having an affair is understandable if his wife is somehow unappealing to the world, nevermind that he is grey, aging and old manish. Holly Petraeus was a beautiful young woman when she married her husband about 37 years ago. Your suppose to grow old together, that is what they vowed to do along with love, honor and cherish…apparently her husband did not sadly and now the world has set a judgement to understand why…..As for Paula Broadwell, remember beauty is fleeting ….

Patraeus NEVER has looked good, but that didn't mean that she didn't stay with him. If ALL men stay married for is looks, then I say "good riddance!" What a loser Patraeus is.
